The Committee is responsible for the nomination of historically significant City properties for designation by the City Planing Commission as Merrill Landmarks, and for establishing standards for the renovation of designated landmark properties. The Committee consists of three local historians and two aldermen. The City Building Inspector and Community Development Director are ex-officio members.
