The City of Merrill ADA Compliance Committee is established with five members and an ADA Coordinator who is the Building Inspector. The membership is made up of a business and/or non-profit organization, an educator, a disabled representative, an elected official and a health or medical person. The main concern of the Committee is to hear and decide grievancs and complaints in regard to access to public buildings, programs, services and employment. The Committee will also review requests or suggestions from disabled persons regarding access to and participation in public facilities, services, activities and functions in the community. If the ADA Committee cannot resolve the situation, the Common Council may hear the argument.
